My passions lie with individuals that suffer from PTSD and the effects of trauma. Once you identify the root cause of your symptoms, which can range from depression, panic and anxiety, nightmares or insomnia, even chronic health problems, you can truly begin to heal and grow. My favorite intervention is Seeking Safety which incorporates a set of skills to address the effects of PTSD as well as substance abuse. Although these are serious issues, I believe in my heart that a sense of humor is absolutely vital to survival!
I offer multiple strategies to alleviate the symptoms associated with trauma and PTSD: Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Solution-focused interventions, and others. PTSD and the effects of trauma take many forms and treatment is tailored to the individual.
It isn't the event of trauma itself but how one is affected by it that is more important to address. I will make sure that however we decide to approach it, it will be a collaborative decision between you and I with the ultimate goal being up to you and how you would like to see yourself heal and grow.
